Welcome to Old Salts Gallery!

Old Salts Gallery is a new contemporary art gallery located in the beautiful midcoast Maine town of Camden.

The gallery rotates its shows every month, and the inaugural exhibition was held in January, 2012. The reception for our current April show will be held on March 30th from 5-8pm. We hope to see you there!

(Camden, ME) Old Salts Gallery of Camden welcomes the public to a
group show featuring contemporary Maine artists. Please join us for a
reception at 25 Mechanic Street on the corner of Mechanic and
Washington Streets on Friday, March 30th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. This
exhibit will be on display for the month of April.

“Process of a Portrait” will display the diverse techniques of ten
artists as they capture the essence of a person, animal or
environment, and explore the meaning of a portrait.

This show will display a wide range of mediums used though out history
all with a modern twist, from the ancient practice of Encaustic by
Beth Henderson and Heidi Holmes , the early photographic process of
Platinum/Palladium printing by Elizabeth Allen and Jeffrey Mathias,
Penny Gentle’s elegant glass work of the female form, vivid oil
paintings by Susan Mary Corcoran, Nancy Desmond and Judith Mitchell,
delightful found metal sculpture by Nathan Nicholls, and the more
modern technique of hand cut stencil/spray artist Gibrian Foltz.
